This is a 1978 Trans Am  MACHO TA #151 out of Mecham Performance, for those that are not familiar with this rare bird here is a little history: in 1977 Dennis and Kyle Mecham (DKM) had the idea of getting the stock trans ams sold at their father’s dealership and turn them into fast machines.  In 1978 they made only 203 Macho TA and this one happens to be #151 This car came from Arizona which does not surprises us since Mecham Performance is based over there, in circa 2001  was sold to one of our customers here in Miami about 5 years ago, he kept the car garaged and made a good amount of improvements trough the years (see list of improvements ant the bottom end of this Ad) , this car came out of the factory in (24 code) Blue Martinique and as part of the macho appearance it received a lower second tone stripe in silver. In order to be 100% sure the car was legit we  contacted Dennis Mecham about 4 years ago and he was able to authenticate the car, we posted a photo of the letter that we  received from him . This car is a nice driver quality trans am, the engine is very powerful and will fry the tires effortless , the interior is black and is in nice shape, no cracks in the dash and seats are also in good shape, this cars are hard to come by and the few I have seen for sale are asking high dollar amounts ($40k to $60k), this one is priced to be sold quick.
