1979 Pontiac
Trans Am 10th Anniversary
79 10th
Anniversary Trans Am,
38,500 original miles,
400 engine, 4spd,
all were loaded with options from the factory, Car was
just freshly repainted a couple weeks ago, and decided
to leave the pace car decals off, I have a pic of the
car before with the pace car decals, the paintjob wasn’t
bad, but wanted it to be perfect, so I had it repainted.
According to the original owner, It was keyed back in
the day and painted around the decals then,
it is very
clean
and detailed inside and out, including engine bay and
undercarriage. everything works as it did when new. I
have put new BFGoodrich tires on it, they have about 100
miles on them, i have a set of the original wheels and
goodyear polysteel tires that will go with it as well,
but would not trust driving on them, use for show
purpose only.
car drives and
rides great, and feels very tight. The engine was
rebuilt about 7 yrs ago by previous owner almost all nos
parts used during restore. Only about 5 thousand miles
put on engine since. have all kinds of receipts. Engine
rebuild alone was over 5,000.00 with receipts.
I have an
original nos pace car decal set to go with car as well
as some of the original old parts that I have replaced
with new. I met the original owner of the car who was
an owner of a Pontiac dealership who ordered it and
displayed in the dealership where it sat until 93 before
it was sold. I have owned the car a little over a year,
but have another project that needs attention.
