1981 Trans am    RefBO00122 for sale by owner*

This vehicle is a 1981 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am, I'm the only owner of this trans am. I bought it new in 1981.

I planned to restore the T/A to new condition, however I'm not able to complete this project,

The car does need work, it does have some condition issues for a 30 year old vehicle. The silver paint is peeling off both front fenders and there is scratches in the paint. The car does have some rust issues but far from being rusted out. Basically, the car need a complete new paint job and the front spoiler needs repaired.

The engine is a 301 turbo V8, the engine runs but needs overhauled. I haven't done much to the engine, I have a new electric choke that needs installed. The exhaust system needs replaced, its still has the original system. The brakes need replaced, maybe even a brake booster.

The interior is dark blue. The carpet needs replaced and the driver seat cloth needs repaired
The sail panels in the rear are faded from the sun along with the speaker deck. Overall, the interior is in good condition. no cracks in the dash or console, the door panels are not tore up. However the driver side door does need the door hinges replaced. The windshield managed to get a crack in the driver side, it will need replaced. I removed the speakers years age they were shot, the car has AM-FM/ 8 track radio with the audio booster option.

The t-tops don't leak, but there is a leak from the transmission pan due to a bolt broken off in the pan. But , the transmission works and shifts.

Pretty much everything still original, same engine, trans, rear-end that came with the car. The car hasn't been restored.

The car has tilt, cruise, power locks, power windows, rear defrost, audio booster, AM-FM/ 8 Track, T-Tops.

This car will make someone a very good trans am to restore, I think the mileage is around 157,000 I'm looking in the price range of $7,900 or o.b.o just reduced $7,000.00
