1987 BUICK
GRAND NATIONAL turbo O
Up
for sale this rare highly desirable 1987 Buick GN turbo. This
car is in
excellent shape as you can see, we were told was
restored back in 2003, and then put in storage. All GN's
came black from factory, if you are reading this listing you
already know this was the fastest car back in the year. This car
has been stored in private collection for few years, has not
been driven much, she really needs to hit the road!. It started
right up and drove like a champ, is
FAST, actually scary fast.
Interior is almost like new just missing interior pull strap
covers that you can buy on e-bay, the rest seems to be all
perfect,
even power antenna works! It would cost you more than asking
price just to restore to the condition of this one.

According my reserach The 87 GN was basically the same car as
the 86 version except for some minor changes such as a
reprogrammed chip and front grille. There were 20,193 GNs
produced and sold in 1987, which was the final year for the
Grand National. It was dubbed by Motor Trend Magazine as the
"fastest production car of America" and backed it up with solid
proof. They ran several tests with the 87 GN in the 1/4 mile and
compared the times against all the other sports cars at the
time. It ran a best of 13.9 @ 100 mph and probably still had
more in it. Other publications from various other magazines
posted a 13.8 @ 100 mph but that is about the fastest I have
seen a factory stock GN published. The Camaro, Firebird,
Mustang, and even the Corvette couldn't keep up with the Grand
National. It was said that the only car faster in 0-60 time back
then was a 911 turbo Porsche and a couple other super car
exotics that cost more than a house! Nothing in America was
faster than the GN "factory production-wise" until the Corvette
ZR-1 came out in 1990. You could compare the GN of the 80's
decade to the Dodge Viper of the 90's decade as far as "Americas
fastest muscle car".

This
car has a clear title, as per last owner was exempt due the fact
was 10 years or older, but were told she has 110,000
miles, which is hard to believe by looking at the car, yeah she
is that
good.
As any black car you will find minor flaws, but it will be hard
to find a nicer one in this shape for the money. The A/C
needs to be recharged and checked, oil , filters, spark plugs
etc.. .should be all replaced, please don't assume anything,
this car sold for much less of market value for somebody who
knows this type of collectible will be worth lots of money
in the future. Please ask your questions
before bidding , this is a legal contract, if you are a bidder
from over seas or with 0 feedbacks please email us before
bidding if you don't want the bid cancelled. We have another Gn
turbo "project car" available please click contact us and check
