We are Proud to bring to the market the best of the best 2nd gen Firebird Trans ams, today we unveil and offer this 8,000 original mile 1978 Trans Am Y88 Gold Special Edition (one year only) coming up for sale today 6 of august 2024.

This was called "Gold Special Edition" and was only produced in 1978, it came painted "Solar Gold" code 50 and adorned with brown stripes SE styled and Gold mirrored Fisher T Tops, also one year only feature.

This is an original un-restored Trans Am, original paint and interior and numbers match drive train. Interior and exterior are perhaps teh best we have ever seen on a Y88 Trans Am.

As an interesting note about this incredible well preserved car is that Interior seats were covered with protective covers from new in 1978 until 2019 when the car was acquired from original owner, at the moment of acquisition the car had only around 7k miles ( see copy of title below). in 2019 Trans Am Specialties proceeded to do subtle upgrades this original un-restored museum quality immaculate trans am, mainly directed to improve the performance side since this cars were really underpowered from factory, the intention was to do a mild increase in power to make the driving experience exciting. As part of this improvements the internals on the engine were taken out carefully and the highest quality compared to factory were professionally assembled keeping the factory looks but making this docile Trans Am become quick and powerful yet smooth and drivable anywhere.
Also as part of the other subtle upgrades we professionally wrapped the steering wheel in real leather, installed a vintage radio, but the original and fully functional radio goes with the car, new dual exhaust, full ws6 suspension (factory original) and wheels with new tire installed as well. If you think about it this is perhaps the best you will ever find anywhere, is still a time capsule but with the added value of upgrades made by our expert team over an immaculate original car that always was in need of more performance, ask anyone that owns a stock one.
The upgrades are what anyone would dream off: better suspension and substantial increased Hp and torque, estimated modest 375 hp and yet smooth and powerful!
